In addition to performing, Lisa has found a love of teaching and enjoys sharing her experience as a performer with her students. Lisa teaches an audition technique class in NYC and also has a private voice practice in the New York and New Jersey area. She believes that the acting of a song is just as important as the singing of it, maybe even more. She helps her students connect to the material to truly tell a story while maintaing proper vocal technique with a contemporary musical theater sound.

She has been a guest speaker at Brigham Young University, The Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Philadelphia School of the Arts and Boston Conservatory. She has also taught master classes in New York City for such companies as New York Offstage, Camp Broadway, Jeff Alexander Productions and Broadway Classroom.

“Lisa has a way of giving you the tools you need to stop worrying about how people look at you. She has a keen eye for spotting dishonest acting and taking her class really helped me find the truth in what I was communicating and singing about . I would love to keep studying with her, but with her audition class I have booked my first professional gig and have to go away for a little while!” – Eric Krop, Broadway performer

“The workshops and masterclasses were truly the best I’ve experienced in my 20 years of teaching. The teachers were incredibly talented, enthusiastic and well-prepared. My students were engaged throughout the entire session and felt safe to try new things and take risks. The kids still cannot stop talking about the experience and can’t believe they got to work with Broadway stars. It was very inspiring and we can’t wait to do it again next year!” Lisa Nowicki, high school teacher/band director
